In my ( long gone) days with CP t-shirts made up about 99% of my sales. Here other products are my bestsellers. I do sell t-shirts, but from all my shops I sell a lot more other products. Hilly

Over at CP by far my best sellers were clocks, keepsake boxes, plus the other tile products, followed by t-shirts and a few other things. Initially I was a bit apprehensive when I started here a few moths back because obviously Zazzle does not carry any of the products I sold the most.
I have been very pleasantly suprised because I really have sold items from many of the choices here.
To give you some idea so far I have sold t-shirts, keychains, mugs, bags, stickers, buttons, greetings and postcards, mousepads, posters, not sure if I've missed anything, but I'm sure you get the idea, it really has been a good variety.
I do think it's good advice to place designs on all appropriate products to give the customers the choice, as long as good judgement is used to decide when a design just really doesn't suit a product and shouldn't be offered.

I'd have to second or third the fact that t-shirts and apparel are less of the mix here for us than at CP. The cards, posters, magnets, and other products seem to be the best selling items at Zazzle for us. But put the appropriate design on everything, you never know what will sell. Thought I'd bump this up a bit. We've kinda explained that at Z, for some reason, t-shirts don't sell quite as well as other products, or as they did at CP. Anybody have a good explanation to why?

As some of you have said- over at CP t-shirts were (and still are) my top sellers. But since being here I have found that t-shirts (for me anyway) rarely sale. I have sold more buttons than anything. I've sold more buttons here in the past few months than I have in 2 1/2 years at CP.

That's true for us, too, Brenda. But the question is why? Does anybody have any theories? Maybe this should have been asked in another section of the forum, or maybe we're all stumped for an explanation, but I'd be curious for anyone's thoughts on it.

I can't say with any certainty why t-shirts don't sell as much on Zazzle. I have never had an opportunity to ask one of my customers why they bought what they did, so it's really difficult to know.
I will say, though, that I rarely ever sell shirts--stamps, stickers, and keychains are really some of my best sellers, but I sell a little of everything. Don't neglect to put good designs on a variety of products--I made over $70 in two days on ONE PERSON who bought my koi design on as many products as she could get, including shoes, magnets, shirts, totes, business cards, etc. I would have missed out on that if I'd said, "Nah, this will never sell on shoes..." or "who would buy this on a business card?"

I guess im out in left field then, cause my biggest seller by over 80% difference is Tshirts.
But then again, I do really promote them more than anything else as well.
Actually I think tshirts is the largest seller zazzle wide, there used to be a post about it here a while back. Ill try and do a search for best sellers or something and see if I can find it.

Well, I know that in my case, my designs are much better suited to other products and don't lend themselves well to t-shirts, which would be why they don't really sell for me, but for anyone else, I couldn't say.

I'm with you, but T-shirts are my main focus. I have also sold mugs, mousepads, and postcards/greeting cards. Those are the only items I currently sell. But T-shirts are my bread and butter.

I sell 90% t-shirts but that has been my main promo focus - used to only offer tees, stickers and mousepads but just recently added a bunch more products to each design so will see how they sell. I like to focus on t-shirts because they are more expensive then smaller products.
