Nothing can go up for approval unless it has been submitted for sale. Liquidspaceman1 wrote:And lastly, where do I look for approval when the time comes? Thanks! You will receive an email and the postage will be placed in your product listing. It will appear in the order in which it was submitted, behind (or ahead of - depending on how one chooses to look at it) anything that designed, and submitted, after the postage..

Thank you GLManley. So, what you are saying is that when I want to post it for sale, in the public viewing area, that is when it goes up for review, not when it is in the private area? (Sorry for the clarification, it's a little hard to teach an old dog new tricks).

Thought I would share a little trick I found, not sure if anyone has mentioned it before. When making a card I click off the add matching postage box. Then I add one card to my shopping cart as if buying it and proceed to classify, tag and post the card design for sale. After finishing that, I go to the shopping cart and both the card and matching stamp are there. I then click on the stamp (graphic) and it takes me to the stamp page itself where I customize it and then post it for sale. Hope that makes sense! It saves me some time in terms of filling in all the classifications etc. LL

If I make a stamp to match a card I don't post the card for sale until I've opened the stamp from my in-progress folder in a new window, then I simply copy and paste the description and tags from the card to the stamp, post the stamp for sale then go back and post the card. They're both done at the same time in just a couple steps.

Hi all - at the expense of looking clueless, I'll ask the question anyway. Once I have created my stamp and it has been approved and is now in the Private Products section, could someone please explain the process to get it into my public folder so I can post it for sale? I seem to be stuck in a cyclic redundancy where I click on the stamp itself (edit does not offer anything but the option to edit name/description only), go to customize, post for sale, redo the categorization (since it defaults back to "none selected"), remove the word "customized" for the title, re-adjust the royalty and post it. It the is put back into the evaluation queue and dumped back into the Private again. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me with this. I made 15 stamps last night!

if it's still showing in Private, it hasn't been approved. When stamps are approved, they go into Public automatically. Try emailing http://zazzle.custhelp.com/app/home to see what's going on with that stamp.

thanks so much KRW! I'm fairly new and am just getting used to all of this so perhaps I'm being too hasty in assuming they'd been accepted. I received a bunch of emails from Zazzle yesterday confirming published products but on reviewing them I'm realizing the stamps had not been. silly me.....

Once approved it will automatically go into the Marketplace and the public area of your gallery.

Ah haaaa. Thanks for that link. I got a few of mine rejected. Both had likenesses of famous inventors. And there ya go.
Ok, I'll know not to include stamps any time I have faces. No biggie.

Hopefully, I am posting this in the right spot.... and I find it after i hit the submit button! LOL
I want to know if a Public Domain image can be used in the postage stamps. I read the guidelines and that specifically is not addressed. (Just saw the pun in that! LOL) Thanks, Lora

I'm curious as to what DOES get approved for stamps. EVERY single design I've tried has been rejected--and for the most part they're designs that promote kindness. For example: "Be kind to animals. Don't eat them." Or: "Animals are my friends, and I don't eat my friends." Can someone clue me in on why they're all being rejected?

Hi, everybody! Read again the title of this thread - Creating Custom Postage Stamps. Now read this, from the Zazzle User Agrement: you will not make promotional references to Zazzle Custom Stamps as "stamps" or "Custom Postage." Think about it, Zazzle team and us, users. Question for the Zazzle legal team: what EXACTLY is the difference between "custom postage" and "customized postage", if any?

If you can't refer to them as "stamps" or "Custom Postage" then what exactly do you call them? Sticky Mail Squares? I also wonder, how do you know if you're stamp design has been rejected? Do they send an email to inform you either way?
