When you create a new stamp, you must wait until Zazzle has approved it before it will appear in your Public products. Until it has been approved, it will show only in your Private products.

You can find out more info about stamps here:

thanks for posting this KRW! I think another problem is the big word "Congratulations"... many people see that and assume it's added to the gallery.

The page should definitely be edited.

Perhaps it should say . . .

"Congratulations, upon approval your custom postage will be added to your Gallery"

I'm creating stamps for my upcoming wedding, and haven't seen anything about it, so I wanted to ask. Do these stamps actually have "ZAZZLE.COM" written in all caps on them? My fiance and I would prefer not to have the advertisement on our wedding invitations.

They do print with the Zazzle.com on them.

yup. But I've bought stamps for my own use and sold tons of wedding stamps. People notice the picture, not the Zazzle part.

Happy to see that at last, the spam ad was removed from this sticky post. Please, everyone, report these distasteful things as soon as possible so they can be removed. Smile

I'm a bit confused about something...seems to be happening a lot lately!!

When you create a card and then click the box for "add matching postage" what happens to the postage? I can't find it in my "in progress" or "private" folders.

I wondered at first if it just went straight to "waiting for approval", but it's been a while and I would have thought they'd still show up in my "private" folder.

Thanks,
Mark

**Update**

OK, I realize what I was doing wrong now. I was just clicking the box without clicking the link first to actually create the stamp.

Just a short note on stamp approval. I believe that the U.S. Postal service has to approve the stamps before Zazzle can place it.

Zazzle has guidelines set by the USPS but Zazzle actually approves them.

I asked this elsewhere, but have gotten no answer, yet.......Would having a stamp with Obama's logo & 11/4/08 be considered political, too? If the stamp would be ok, why has it not been approved, yet? I submitted the design a week ago.

Idea
From the middle of the XIXth century issuing stamps was a Regale(Royal Right)just like coining money, trading in salt, selling matchsticks, etc. etc. and etc. and remained a right jealously guarded by modern states for obvious reasons over a century or so.
Nowadays the regulations (at least in the US but more and more countries are jumping on that bandwagon)are reduced to only censoring privately produced stamps before releasing them.
Because for example a US stamp's nominal value is so-so and so US$ cents or US# dollars, i.e. stamps are a sort of currency.
Further, on letters stamps project the image of a country. Would you like to see the often more than tasteless designs created recently á propos the US elections political mudwrestling on US postage??? (Among other sources some Zazzle galleries do refer here, too.)
Therefore, Zazzle is obliged to have your stamps approved by observing meticulously the stringent regulations and the Zazzle logo on the stamps is the "Imprimatur" ("Printable") granted to you by the United States of America Delegating this right to Zazzle but at the cost of putting all and any responsibility squarely on Zazzle staff for whatever you want to publish using Zazzle services in the process.

Bottom line:
The prudent approach is to produce your stamp design first and producing the matching postcard only after your stamp design got cleared.
In that way you can add your stamp as an image object to the verso side of your postcard as that can be seen everywhere on postcards sold off the self, adorned with pre-printed stamps.Love

Hello all,
I was just looking to find out about any info on approval of my stamps. I noticed that while making them, they automatically get saved and thus they get sent automatically to get approved. Sometimes I just want to make a stamp to see what it looks like. I don't want to have it approved yet. Am I correct in that when a stamp is made and I want to keep it in my "private" area, it gets sent automatically for approval? And lastly, where do I look for approval when the time comes?
Thanks!
