Howzit, ive installed a forum software and customized a theme for it. Ive never used this particular forum software, so I was just wondering if a few people would mind testing the registration and maybe a couple of test post for me.

Thanks

Thank you.
Did you register thru the forums or the main site. Just wondering, cause no one has registered thru the forums yet, so im trying to make sure the registration carries over to the rest of site.

Im guessing no problems noted so far?

And Thank You

I check out the registerations, and it did register you with all the subsites and sections too.

So far so good.

Thank you, it does indeed transfer over to the forums.

So registering at any of the subsites, main site, or in the forums creates a unique user across all sections.

Thanks

I'm so out of it when it comes to this sort of thing, but want to learn. Can someone explain the real advantage? One forum I joined some time ago was awful with members insulted and critical of one and the other with ridiculous claims and accusations that I left and haven't joined one since. Forums should be helping one and the other? Right?

Every forum is different. Every forum has their own rules (or not). Moderating style makes a difference. Main subject matter of the forum/website can make a difference. Every forum member has their own personality and way of communicating. Whether or not the forum has plenty of different smilies/emoticons to help people communicate can even make a difference. (This forum doesn't have near enough smilies IMHO)
