ClayMart wrote:On just about any forum, it's a good idea to spend some time just reading others posts before making any of your own. And if you can, try to pay attention to the particular topics you choose to open and why the post's title lead you to open it. Or more importantly, why did you choose to skip over other titles. Exactly. If they have a problem with uploading photos, "Help!" isn't going to get a lot of people interested in taking time to find out what is being asked, and if they do, they may not know anything of it, so they've wasted some time. I'd rather see topics with some sort of description so I can see if I may or may not be able to offer some help, but if I know I can't by way of the topic's title, I'll move on and hope someone else will help them. Several months, there were some issues on the site that Zazzle knew about and had posted information under Zazzle News. People were posting the same question right on top of the question that was just asked. The pages were covered with them which made it seem as though some people didn't even want to read the previous question that had replies, and get an answer (including links to Zazzle News), or they just wanted to post their own, though the questions were nearly identical. I still don't understand that.

If I dont see the subject in the title, I dont open them at all. I know what you mean about not opening, and you're not alone. :/ An example of that may be - - - Several months ago, I read a post where someone was upset about not getting any help. They posted the link to their "question" and the topic title was something like one of those I've listed. I'm thinking it was bypassed because a lot of people don't want to bother with opening a message that starts with "HELP!", "Yeah, okay, so...." "Question", etc. I'm not saying that they don't deserve help, and I hope I'm helping with this tip. Fingers crossed.

I bumped this up earlier, so I thought, but didn't see it posted.
Trying again...

I saw several of the same "topics"/"questions" during the passt week and thought a reminder was in order.

I'm bumping this too - specific terms are so much easier to respond to.

Why hasn't this been stickied yet?? It needs to be, IMHO.

I didn't know you'd replied to this. I just added a note about it to your post about having people search for answers before asking.

I posted a thread once (over a year ago, I believe) and it was stickied by the time I refreshed the forums page. This thread is just as important as that one.

We're just going back and forth on replying. Ha! That's cool about your topic becoming a sticky topic within minutes or seconds. I hope this one will make it one day. Not to sound like I'm bragging, but I also believe it's a fairly decent idea that's worth being a sticky topic. Thanks again for the support. Edited to add - Gina, I even sent an email to Zazzle about this, not long after posting. Still not a word. Zazzle, please make this a sticky topic. So many of us would really appreciate it.

lol I noticed! dreamNwish_Photo_Art wrote:That's cool about your topic becoming a sticky topic within minutes or seconds. It was cool... And shocking! It also served its purpose and was unstickied when the message got across. I think that was after a few weeks. dreamNwish_Photo_Art wrote:I hope this one will make it one day. I appreciate Zazzle for making this a sticky topic, and I appreciate the Zazzlers who have read the tips and are putting them to good use.
