Friday April 1st was the first day of my retirement. My company had offered me what they call "Special Early Retirement", I excepted it and now I can be a full time Zazzler. I had enough years in (almost 28) and I am old enough to get the offer. It comes with great health insurance coverage, so I took the offer and ran as fast as my arthritic knees could go. It feels wonderful to be retired at 56. Zazzle will be an important part of my life now. I was handing out business cards for my Zazzle store at a retirement party yesterday. People would ask me what I was going to do now that I was retired and I would whip out one of my cards and give it to them. I told them that I can lay in bed with my laptop on my stomach with my Wacom tablet and make money laying on my back legally. I have always done my Zazzling as a hobby and have never really advertised or done much promoting with my coworkers. Now I will be approaching my Zazzling with more of a concerted effort to generate a supplement to my income. Betsy the happy Zazzler!

Wonderful news and congratulations on your early retirement. Enjoy the time Zazzling but take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities to still do the things you always wanted to do but didn't think you'd be able to. Have fun!

Betsy!! How great!! We're both starting out the same day! (My first day of retirement was actually April 1st as came off night shift that morning!) Good for you...sounds like we had a similar 'early retirement' option too...you beat me though by a year, I just turned 57 end of March! So happy for you, I know exactly how you feel girl!

Thanks so much everyone!!! This has come at a perfect time for me. My health has started to deteriorate over the last year and it will be such a relief to not have to worry about being functional enough to get up a go to work each morning. All I will have to do to go to work now is pull my laptop over onto my stomach and open it up. avisnoelledesigns I turn 57 in July so we are only a few months apart. You worked in the medical field and I made medical equipment so it sounds like we have a few things in common. cowboyannie sometime I'll have to come down to Kenosha and take you out to lunch. Betsy

Congrat, AuntBetsy!! I dream of the day when I can Zazzle as much as I want to. I've even taken vacation days off work, and pretended that I was a full time Zazzler LOL! Here's wishing you great fun with your new career!

Thank you so much for the well wishes Gunilla and Kathy!!! I've been working on my website for the last couple of days. I want to see if I can't drive in some referrals. There are so many talented artiest like yourselves here on Zazzle that I would like to promote. I haven't gotten any of those pages up yet but it is definitely on my to do list. Lots of new products that I have to start designing for. I've really let things slide for the last few months. A bit of a creative block I think. No excuses now for not getting more designs on new products. Betsy Aunt Betsy's Art
