Just throwing product links out there is not going to get it. How many times in the past year have you clicked on a random link you found just anywhere and clicked it and bought something? (just think about it) You need to create content around your links, give people a reason to read your content and a reason to visit your link.......
Here is a great example... http://podaid.com/tutorials/promotion-tuts/successful-article-writing/

It's very difficult to get referral sales.

Those store hit counts also include your own visits to the products. So if you've promoted 10 products you'll see 10 views on your products in the "back room". The store counter on the store fronts are totally not accurate and have never been (at least in the 3 years I've been here) correct.

Just know you are not alone. ((hug))

Thank you for your replies. Writing an article with links is a good idea which I will try. When I have tweeted products I've always written a few words to give a reason for someone to click the link. Looks like I will have to except the fact that making money with referrals is not going to work out. Thanks again

Creating written content may help get your pages into Google but it won't necessarily get you sales. Sales depend on the kind of traffic that comes your way, someone looking for cat magnets is more likely to buy if they land on a page with a bunch of zazzle cat magnets then someone who comes to that page looking for cat pictures.

You need to target your keywords carefully, analyze your stats to see on what sort of keywords your visitors are finding your page and then add product links that match what your visitors are looking for.
