It's been a little bit over 3 years that I've been on Zazzle. I don't work on products all the time due to other things in my life.

Today, I reached the 3,000 mark. This is not my full time job, it's just another way of earning extra cash and a hobby. But I do love working and adding to my store when I can.

Ok, many years ago when my wife and I met, moved into an apartment together a few years later we started having finicial problems.......(skip forward).....My wife got laid off of one job,got another for many years. Ok,she has a degree in accounting, but she wanted to go to beauty school to get training and license to start her own business if something would go wrong with this job.....(fast forward again) She couldn't take the job at a local retailer anymore, so she decided put a application into a health insurance company.

But her dream of opening up a beauty shop was still in her mind. We even had plans drawn up for the loan process. I was going to help her with the advertising and other things. She then got the CALL. She was hired. The position of a lifetime. Going to college years ago finally paid off. The beauty shop never went forward.

Shes been there for a few years and recieve pay raises and moved up a few times already. Note: after a few years, she now works for the company at home. yes at home. They gave her all the equipment:computer, fax, printer, internet, phone. Just last week, she received another raise.

As for me, I've been working at a small local wholesale fishing and hunting store for the last 20 years. I take orders, invoice them and ship them out while waiting on walk-in customers.

I do Zazzle on the side. It's great to have another source of income. Struggled many years, had to remortage my house to pay off many huge bills in the past... A few years ago, we came into debt again but most of it is gone due to paying extra on the bills and earning extra cash. So any income we make is a bonus while we continue to pay down the bills.

3 years ago, I figure I give Zazzle a try and see what happens. I had a few sales within a week or so than for the summer months nothing. But that's when I started to add my flower designs from all the pictures I took. Oct,Nov and Dec. came I knew that this would work for me. I read the forums everyday and learned from others.
I can't say that I earn enough to quit my day job , but it helps.

Hope to continue making and adding more to my store in years to come or until I can't hold a mouse in my hand anymore.

Happy 3,000 products to me today!!!!!!!

David

I've been going through some rough times too and extra money does help from my store. I love it here. I haven't been working on my store too much, instead I went in a different direction for a while. Starting building my own site and bought my own name. I'm so excited about it and I hope it does well. My site focuses on other zazzlers work and some of mine. Please do stop by and check it out, www.invites.com And congratulations on your success....keep up the great work! bee Smile

Wow Country1969 that's a beautiful path that you've done! Zazzle is my main job and I count on it to be able to have a salary and finally move from where I am and to have a place I can call of mine someday. I know how hard it is to reach 3000 products! So congrats!!

Beezazzler your site is very cute! Great work!

3000? Nice work.

1500 is a nice goal for me. Even now, I'm splitting some items off and in to another store so it will lower my total in my main store right now.

I guess I need to get back to work and ignore that ADD thing...

Congratulations on reaching 3000!

We just recently hit over 10000 and have been adding like crazy since then, hoping to really see more sales from it this year. Smile

Thank you all.

Like I said, I do what I can when I can.
Over the weekend I added 15 buttons about Breast Cancer.
I always told myself to stay from things like this but I wanted to add something new to the store in a different approach.
But I think this is an ok topic, no politics for me.
Will continue to add more breast cancer products as time goes on.

Congrats!! Roses I definitely know how huge that is, I'm a slow product adder myself. I'm finding it extremely difficult to reach 1000 products in my invitation store, and I'm still less than 5000 products in my main nyxxie store after being here since 2008. So kudos to you for making it to 3000! Happy

Wow. I don't know how you guys do it! I'm impressed. Congrats to Country (3000 products?!!) and even those of you who have half that much. I do pretty well with my store, and would love to reach those product totals someday. I squeeze in new products when I can, in between working two jobs!

It's nice to get those Paypal deposits from sales in my Zazzle store. Would love to grow my store in the year to come, and will continue trying to do so. I would REALLY love to quit one of my jobs because my Zazzle store has taken off. A girl can dream, huh?!

Thanks,

I don't work on adding products all the time. I get something in my head and I see what wil work on certain products.not all designs work on everything. I also don't design on everything Zazzle has to offer. I stay away from certain things, but sometimes I go against what I would like to steer away from then I do it. I also do each product one by one and not with quick create. I always try to get the design on the product as best as I can, tweaking it here and there until I feel it's right.

As far as the money flow, it's been slow at times. Like many others would agree, best months of the year would be October,November and December for sales. But as you grow, you do get many other months that you will find sales that boom during that month.

As for your dream, dreaming is fine. It's better than having nightmares like I do at times. Can't figure out why I do, maybe because of the stress at my day job or the things I got to put up with when I get home from work? Hahaha. But anyways, it's great to be making extra money to pay off bills or whatever we all do with it.
We have no overhead for products to stock,no shipping to worry about and no customers to deal with. All handle by Zazzle.
