I asked the same thing and one of the threads mentioned that blank items that sold are ones that were customized so we can't see what they did...as for viewing products when it says they have a lot of them I can only think their gallery is rated something other than mine (or yours) so we can't view them. In otherwords my gallery is rated 'G' so I can't see anything else.

I think by default everyones account is set to only be able to view G until you set it otherwise. If you want to see all images on Zazzle regardless of rating then go to:
My Zazzle > Account
And set it to PG-13 or R (R requires some fuss with entering a credit card though for some reason).

I'm happy with my 'G' rating...no sense in viewing things I don't want to see, which seems to happen anyway from what I hear

Customers are unpredictable. It could be that the right person came along very early in that gallery's existence and liked what they saw. Or it could be that the gallery contributor decided to publish and then buy their own product, thus reaping the benefits of the contributor discount.

The ones who look like they're selling blank products are probably using Zazzle's API feature that allows them to sell directly from their own website using images or blank templates linked from their website. Smile http://www.zazzle.com/my/account/create_a_product_api_intro

yup - probably and API. I have a section of my main gallery that is set up for an API setup on my graphics site.

I have an image in place on the templates, but many sites don't and just leave the product blank.

Here's my API section. If you look at the items, you'd think "who'd want that? http://www.zazzle.com/krwdesigns/products/cg-196666456666313820

But if you go to my graphics site and click on one of the designs, you'll see what happens: http://www.zazzle.com/krwdesigns/products/cg-196666456666313820
