At the moment, all I can do is shake my head at seeing that.

Shaking my head, too

It's really something, isn't it? Wow.

I never knew those existed. I would think they wouldn't be allowed.

I didn't realize it, either.

I've seen shirts and mugs for them, but never a stamp. I'm very surprised to see a stamp....to see several stamps.

This is the biggest surprised and "I learned something new." moment for me tonight.

I think if you're not allowing religious stuff then you shouldn't allow anti-religious stuff either, it's a bit like barring one political party while allowing the main opposition. I'm certainly not religious myself but I think the Post Office (or whatever it is in the US) has got this wrong.

Steve.

I need to ask one of my friends who is a postal worker is she knows anything about why one is allowed and not the other.

It may not hurt to send a note the the USPS to see what they say.

Religious stamps are not prohibited so not sure why this one was the tags may be the reason. That is probably why the Atheist Stamps are allowed also although not to many people's liking. And I remember reading somewhere its not the picture but the word "Jesus" if it were on the stamp but now maybe on the tags and description also.

Update

I resubmitted my stamp with the phrase removed and it now has been approved. So I guess it's like Tink said, don't use the word "Jesus".
So now we know! Sad
@crazyshopping, the stamp I posted isn't mine, I was just using it as an example because my nativity kind of resembles it but thank you anyway.

If you ever get a chance rent the Mel Brooks movie "History of the World Part II"

You will understand the part about "Jesus" when you see it, made me think of it when I saw your post..

Jerry, Wow.... That was enlightening. I take no issue with ANY individual's religious faith or lack thereof. Love More acceptance - at least tolerance - of one another would be a wonderful thing. We all share this very small planet.

Reading all your posts made me decide to share my stamp rejection story. I made a few stamps with text that was anti-bullying. Nothing visually offensive or inappropriate in language. G-rated and cute. A few were approved before one was rejected. It wasn't any different in its text or type of image. So I contacted Zazzle to find out why. I got a nice note about the stamps not meeting postage guidelines. And though I'd mentioned that I'd remove the others if necessary, Zazzle did it for me. Right away. ha! Smile

From Zazzle, among the things we can't put on a stamp: "Advocate or protest any social, political, legal, moral or religious agenda in a way that may appear controversial to others." Zazzle has to do what it has to do to comply with the USPS and I can live with that. But this came as a surprise. I'm not completely clear on why an anti-bullying stamp is controversial. Maybe that's why the Post Office would never hire me to design postage. Well, THAT, and my lack of artistic talents. *sigh* The designs went through without a hitch when I removed the text. Grin And I learned a long time ago that it helps to keep a sense of humor and be f-l-e-x-i-b-l-e!

One of the funniest movies of all time, for me!

Sometimes it's just hard to take a simple food order.

I haven't seen the movie but will put it on my things to do list.
@shewolf, wow, who would have thought! I guess to be on the safe side I will probally leave most all phrases and words off of the stamp designs and just use it on other products.
