Very nice of you.

I see where it says "Please Share Before Downloading" with a Facebook icon beside a damask design. You said there are no catches, so do we have to click "share" in order to download?

Hi DNW.

When I say no catches I meant that it will not cost you any money to download the artwork. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, to make the service Free we need you to share our site on Facebook to help us promote the site so we can add even more high quality artwork.

Regards

Jamie.

Are you offering this to all, even us old timers? I am thinking of taking a peek... It wouldn't hurt to have something "stored away" to use when I am suffering from a creative block lol

Nice offer, but is there an option for people who don't use Facebook?

Thanks.

I downloaded one template after I read your answer. I see in the license agreement after you download one of the templates that it says, "You must not otherwise reproduce, copy, print, transmit (including broadcast), download, communicate, adapt, distribute, sell, license, modify or publish or otherwise use any of the ZT artwork, in whole or in part, except as permitted by this agreement."

So it's kind of confusing about whether they can be changed after all. But I guess I'll take your word here on the forums that they can be altered.

I think it would be nice if you set it up so people could be given the choice to Tweet it on Twitter instead of using facebook. And maybe even come up with another option or two for people who don't use either. Maybe they could pay a small fee or something via paypal. But I know a lot of people who will not to use facebook out of concerns about privacy and such.

Hey eclecticdreams.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I did think our terms allowed alterations but only upon a written agreement. I have left off one small sentence at the end of that paragraph....."except as permitted by this agreement..... [or upon the written agreement through an individual and Aurora Art & Design.]

Thanks for the suggestions in relation to twitter etc. We do not intend on selling our designs to users that are not on Facebook, it may appear that we have some sort of agreement with Facebook, for which we do not. Our sole intention is to deliver Free High Quality artwork for Zazzle store owners.

To make this service available as is we needed to find a way to market the service effectively and at a low cost. After many months of market research we concluded that Facebook was our best option for sharing this service with the community.

Of course our website and how it functions will evolve over time. It is active community members such as yourself that will shape the future of our site and we thank you and all others who have contributed thus far.

Regards

Jamie.

Pretty cool site. I've a curiosity, though: if loads of people on Zazzle download and use your artwork, wouldn't that kind of flood the market with similar if not identical designs? I already think constantly about throwing my monitor across the room when I see "Honey Badger Don't Care" shirts from 7 different designers, all on the top of the "popular" search. Smile

Nothing against the designs you're offering, by the way. They're pretty neat! Just curious about the repetition factor.

Cheers!

I think that brings a challenge to be creative.

Someone else here has thousands of free (and some that you pay for) designs for us to use. I've been using a lot of their designs for my own items and though I see other people using them, it's not a big deal. I just happen to know that they got the design from the same place that I did, and often times they're more creative than I was with what other design, colors, text, etc they added to it to make it original since we must not post the design "as is". Makes me try harder. Smile

Hey Poe.

This is Jamie, the founder of Zazzle Templates. I think you have brought up an excellent question and one that I did indeed ponder myself when I first created the site. I think Zazzle is a little like the Google search engine in many ways. for example:

1) Both have a massive amount of results to search though.

2) Due to the large numbers it is hard to be found on the search engines.

3) Google, just like Zazzle will reward users that work hard to be found on their site.

At the end of the day, each Zazzle Store owner must work hard to be found on Zazzle. This is no different to any other part time or full time job. This means our designs won't show up unless the owner of the store makes sure they can be found.

As of this date Zazzle currently has 41,121,291,052 products available for sale. We think Zazzle Templates contributions will hardly make a dent to this figure and therefore cannot flood the market with duplicate designs. Also we don't mind if Zazzle users alter our artwork as previously mentioned above.

Happy Zazzling!

Hey everyone.

If you have used one of our free designs on your store we would like to promote your link to your store for Free on the Zazzletemplates.com site.

Anyone interested can simply post your link on this thread and we would be happy to add it in. At this stage we will only be accepting the first 12 links.

Cheers Smile

But looking at those designs, realistically very few will change the fundamentals which in turn breeds a flood of similar keywords and MP placement. Hence the Honey Badger example from Poe. Comparing your templates to the 41 billion is not a relevant comparison as your templates are quite capable of flooding selected area's of the MP. Especially as your traffic grows. Nice grab on the Zazzle url. Clever.

Having once been forced to live with a Pomeranian because of my wife, I can totally respect that design... and now, thanks to you showcasing it, I have to avoid the impulse to create a similar design, despite my hatred of rodents that somehow are still called Canines.

Good show, sir... good show! Grin

Cheers!

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to make a quick note about our new site. Our site is very genuine and may appear to be "too good to be true". This was recently brought to our attention by an existing Zazzle member and we would like to thank him very much for that.

Our site will generate a transparent income through paid advertisements on the Zazzle templates site. This allows our company to pay our designers that bring you this stunning artwork. I also don't mind adding artwork to the site which I just recently did with "Real Dogs" "I'm a Vizsla" and "Best Friends" I too love drawing and thought this would be a great way for everyone to benefit.

If you would like more information about me, the founder of Zazzle Templates please check out my profile on linkedin. I have numerous recommendations from my previous design clients.
