Howdy,

Talk about timing! We all were excited to read JesterArts' thread about mass upload. One of our incredibly awesome engineers has been working on an uploader application for a while, and it's now ready for a bit of external testing.

Download Uploader Here

Here's a link to the help file if you want to preview requirements.

Couple of notes
- This is for Windows only (lots of us Mac folks asked for an OSX version, but no ETA has been set)

- We've used it for a while internally, but it has not gone through extensive configuration testing. Until it's been officially released, please use at your own risk.

- If you find a bug or have usability questions, please keep them contained within this thread. This is unsupported software, so the more information you can give us up front, the better chance we'll have of reproducing/understanding the issue.

If there's interest in other tools that would enhance your Zazzle experience, we'd love to hear about them!

Have fun and happy uploading.
-e.

Start by working on a MAC OSX version...there's more of us Mac users than you think. Lets think outside the box for a minute...I'm guessing that uploading to Zazzle may not be too different than uploading to say Flickr. So how about looking at a few Flickr uploaders like "Flickr Uploadr" or "Gleam 1.1" which are free applications that upload pictures to Flickr (duh). Now here's a novel idea...how about contacting one of these people to collaborate with Zazzle to convert their uploader from a Flickr to a Zazzlr? Is that too far outside the box? PC centricity is soooooo outdated.

This is an awesome bit of kit .. I uploaded several pieces .. and while they were uploading made a coffee .. came back they were all in the image files .. so when I was making products with those .. I uploaded more .. and they were ready and waiting for me .. that engineer deserves a pay rise Grin

Now just something to help with tagging would be awesome .. maybe keep tags in an area like the image files .. and some way to get images to more then one account.. I'm sure you guys can think of a way to do it Happy

Thanks Eric.

I downloaded it and am uploading some images now. The nicest thing here is that we are not limited to 5 images.

I haven't gotten a sense yet if it is much faster than the standard upload method, but when I get a chance I am going to run some time tests just to see and I'll let folks know my results here.

I'm with fredm18. An OSX version please. And while you're there, how about fixing the black background on the Top Picks.... ?

great idea! Thanks.

I agree with DT. An easier way to tag would be great. Even just carrying the tags over when we customize an item would be something.

It would be great to enter tags per image and then be able to add or subtract when we create a product with the image.

when Mac Users and Pc Users can talk about each other without one degrading the other, and one thinking they are superior from another.....then there will be a gleam of hope for world peace..

Great work.

Just one suggestion:

Maybe you should add a download link to the Question and answer page?

I got the montly email this morning from Zazzle and was happy to see the up-loader thing, had missed it up to now, but couldn't find a link - but maybe I'm just blind ;)

Degrading? Saying that PC centricity is outdated is not degrading, its a fact...ask any Linux User.

OK, downloaded, installed and getting a runtime error when trying to start it.
Checked the help thingy, can't find nothing about that.

I'm running it on Win NT.

Any ideas? Sad

That's good news for me though. As I am also getting the Runtime Error. I have reported it though and they are looking into it. If they find a solution I will let you know. I have tried on XP and Vista. I see you are living outside the US too. I wonder id there is a connection.

Worked wonderfully for me (on Vista)! Very very nice...easy to use, and it's *fantastic* seeing the progress bar. No wondering if the uploading has jammed. Smile

Thanks guys!

I have found it loads about 10 percent faster than the standard process. That is nice, for larger files, and I love loading more than 5 at once. I can set it working and go off to do something else without having to check back all the time to set up a new batch.
