howdy international zazzlers,

we'll post a larger thread tomorrow, but i wanted all of you to get a head start tonight. we need lots of great localized content for our merchandising feeds and TBAs.

take a look and i'll check back in the morning (california time) and start adding your products. please make sure to tag your products appropriately, and if you don't mind, post here so I don't miss anyone.

http://www.zazzle.ca
http://www.zazzle.com.au

(just like the UK, you'll need to log in to each site)

thanks!
-e.

EDIT: found this via biglnet's gallery. kinda cool. figured i'd stick it in here.

Yay! That is good news. Now people from further afield can buy my fractal works without having to worry about how the shipment from the US will work out. Nice one Zazzle - people have been asking for this, and now it's here...

(If there's one piece of feedback in this, it's that we could do with the Volume Bonus eligibility thresholds being worked out as the total of all sales across all sites. The more localised stores, the more multiples of USD100 we need before we start to qualify...)

I have had a zazzle.com shop for a couple of years - do I need to set up a zazzle.com.au shop as well ?

Will my existing commissions still be in US dollars?

VERY happy about the AUSTRALIAN version of ZAZZLE!!

these are all great, thanks everyone!! you'll notice them begin to appear in feeds specific to the .ca and .com.au sites very soon.

i've been using a lot of geographic terms while looking for products. in addition to canada and australia, i'm searching for canadian provinces and australian states/territories. we'd all love to see local images, flags and landmarks specific to these areas.

keep them coming, and congrats on the press release placement, dean. it's well deserved!

Hi Ematson,
Being an Aussie I was wondering if these are being made in Australia or the US?

Lots more to put up, I'll be working on it today...

argh, thanks for pointing out the bad link, paws. we'll get it fixed shortly.

fit, this is EXACTLY what we hoped would happen. we really wanted to give everyone a platform for showing off what is unique to their area. toronto has so many beautiful architectural/geographic landmarks, this is your opportunity to become the go-to spot on the web featuring the islands, CN tower and city hall. this really is the time for everyone in canada to highlight their town. whether you're from a small fishing community in nova scotia or from beautiful BC, this is the time to show your local community to the world.

same goes for our very active aussie community as well. while setting up our australian infrastructure, a small team had the opportunity to visit sydney for the first time. they were blown away by the city's beauty and overwhelmingly friendly citizens. the opera house is certainly worthy of its world-class status (and millions of photographs), so how about showing the world the domed ceiling in town hall or el alamein fountain or one of the endless amazing beaches (flipping through pics of the trip) Grin

if you need some inspiration, take a quick peek at stefán's store . he's able to show the world the immense beauty of his backyard through his products.

remember to tag your creations appropriately. once your products start finding their way into international search engines, your store could be the destination for people looking for vancouver island diving pics (canada, british columbia, vancouver island, beddis beach, diving) or your original contemporary aboriginal artwork (australia, northern territory, kakadu, turtle, emu, papunya tula)... the opportunities are nearly endless. (hard to tell i'm excited about this)

i definitely don't want to skip our powerhouse UK community. you've quickly created one of the most successful and influential localized marketplaces in the world. the diversity of designs (and designers) is really inspiring. as we continue to add localized european sites, our continental platform will grow stronger with each passing day.

well, back to work (fixing paws link). please keep posting in this thread as you create. i'll be back several times a day to check.

oh, marketing would give me a finger waggle if i didn't mention the free au/ca shipping promo. (this is the time to test a product or two if you're curious about the quality)

All the images in this shop are of animals that visit my backyard.
Profits go towards helping them and other local wildlife.
I've not had very good luck with it so far, but maybe that will change now.

Another of my shops if full of local photography too...

I'll try and get to tagging things appropriately tonight.
I'd really appreciate being added to the marketing mix.
My little friends need some peanuts!

Hi Eric

Biglnet here. The one you mention above. It's me!

The image for the flag counter on my site doesn't seem to load. So if anyone wants to see what it looks like they can visit my bridal gallery Justbyjulie Brides

Ok now I am confused. What do you mean special tags for UK stores? Since when? I was under the impression the UK store was a mirror of our US store?

Hi,

I have a few Newfoundland designs in my store, and my photography features Newfoundland scenery. I think they're tagged with the province name, but I'll make a note to make sure.

This is GREAT news - especially the free shipping announcement. I'm thrilled to be able to promote my store at home now - especially given the focus being my province! Thanks so much!

Just wish my time wasn't completely booked for the next few days - I'm behind before I even start! Grin
