I have been on Zazzle since November and haven't had a sale yet. I do get alot of positive feedback from fellow Zazzlers which is nice but....
I have advertised on my blog, and my website. I have bought some of my own and the quality is excellent.
However, I do find the shippin costs a little high.
I also have my cards on GCU and have sold there but still really slow.
Just saying hi from Sidney, BC

It can take a while to get established and start getting sales .. your work is great.. I'm sure sales will start soon .. try aiming at the holidays .. st patricks.. mothers day .. easter etc .. that might help .. I know you've worked hard building your store .. just keep adding products ... also check out the advertising offers on the promotions thread..theres some good ideas and free advertising over there

Well you have some nice work. Surprised you haven't sold yet, but it can take time. I also think one needs a lot of products and variety.
Well I must admit paintings have never been a big seller for me. I don't know what it is about paintings really. But I've always found my photography sells better on Zazzle than my paintings. Thinking about it though, it might be because there are a lot of cards in high street shops based on paintings, whereas people who shop on the Internet and places like Zazzle are looking for something a bit different which they can't get elsewhere.

Your watercolours are beautiful! It took me a little while before I got anything sold - just be consistent .. & like anything else - give it a little time.

Hi Ruth,
I just tried to visit your gallery and waited for about 30 seconds. Nothing loaded. I'm on cable and haven't been experiencing any problems today visiting any other sites.

Cancel that last post Ruth. It looks like it's the link coming directly from the forum as it happened with another gallery. i tried your link directly in another browser and it came up just fine.
You do wonderful work! I don't know how much you're doing to promote your gallery, but there are plenty of posts in the main forum discussing this.
Cheers,
MK

I get a fair amount of traffic looking for various places, so I'd suggest adding place name tags to help buyers find your "souvneirs". Lovely paintings.

Keywords are key--most customers find us by doing searches, so having as many keywords as possible improves your chances of being found. If you allow customers to customize your products, say so in the keywords. "customisable, customizable, personalized, personalised," etc. Also, I see that on the item I'm looking at now, you use "painting" but not "watercolor, watercolour, water, color, colour". Some folks are really into watercolor paintings on greeting cards and prints, and will be looking for that.
Just try to think to yourself, "If someone was looking for an item like this, what words would they put in the search engine?"
As you add more products to your gallery and build upon your keywords, you'll draw in more customers. Give it time. :3
*edit* Also, try to put each picture on as many products as possible. You'd be amazed at what sells and what doesn't! Some of the biggest sellers I have I didn't think would sell at all when I posted them.

But I am working on diversifying my products to account for the year round occasions and holidays.
Still finding Zazzle an excellent place to place my designs and photos.

Congrats Ruth for your first sale. Sometimes its so frustrating at first but it will work out fine. Your work is targeting some specific market so maybe you try some forums that are targeted in enjoying watercolor pictures if your blog, etc is not enough. Sales will come as you add more variety to your gallery. Good luck and keep it up!

It can take a while. I have been at Zazzle since 2007. I haven't sold anything yet. Hey, don't feel bad. When I first started, I was thinking about the money. You have to build and keep building like The Pro, Ricaso, told you. The advice was very encouraging. It takes several years for some people before they even make a dime. I have heard of people struggling, and then all over a sudden, bam, they start climbing and making the bucks. It wasn't always easy for Leonardo Da Vinci. He was before his time and now his work is famous. Don't give up.

Hi everyone....I'm new here, too and have yet to make a sale after a month or so. I have had a couple of my art prints featured as TBAs, but it didn't result in any sales. I wonder if Zazzle is a place people think of for art, or do they go to other better known web sites like Art.com or Allposters.com?
Is anyone really selling a lot of art (or photos) on this site without having a lot of other products in the mix as well? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated as I hope to focus on the sites that offer the best prospects (don't we all?). Thanks much.
Gordon
