Woops i meant head.

Hello,

I'm from Canada and saw this site, had my doubts so I uploaded a few of my photograph's I took anyway just to see what it's like. Go figure I sell something. It was small, but still it's now leading me to believe it might work!

So now that i have my 1.50 coming to me, lol, I'm trying to figure this whole tax, form, irs thing. Can someone (preferably canadian) comment on this thinking...

Do we need to fill out IRS W-8 BEN form for Zazzle to pay us? Is that for everyone?

Do we need to fill out a 1099-G or W-2, if we make more than 600.00 within a year?

When it's all said and done, do I claim all my earnings at tax time and if so, where does it go under? We don't get a T4 from Zazzle do we?

Is there a Candian Zazzle that we can post only on to, and would I be avoiding some of the paperwork above (with the exception of canadian taxes where I'm making additional income)?

Lastly...To claim items relating to my sales (ie. purchasing Photoshop) I can only claim that as an expense if I actually owned a business/license where I could do that normally correct?

This part I don't get, seeing some people on the forums stating they're selling on Zazzle as single entities but they can write off stuff like internet usage and purchasing software. Like I said, this part is over my head so I'd like to get some clarification, or somewhere I could look into this that spells it out in easy to understand terms. Smile

Thanks in Advance,

Travis

For all international sellers.

No. I only filled out the W-8 BEN form a couple of years ago and that's all that I needed to do.

Zazzle sends us a 1042-S form every year (like our T4).... it's a claim made under "Self-employed income".

I just use Zazzle.com - doesn't make any difference. We are still Canadian residents. The only paperwork was the w8-ben form.

You can claim any expenses that are allowed - it's a percentage (I have my accountant do that for me) .... you don't have to be licensed to claim these business expenses.

Hope that helps and welcome to Zazzle!
