I have a concern around the pricing for products on zazzle.com.au

The rate of exchange for US$ to AU$ is virtually $1 to $1.

However if I look at one of my postcards on the US site it is $1.10 max.
On the Oz site my postcards start at $1.70.

This is killing any chance I have of selling anything as all my images are form Australia and no one in there right mind will buy postcards for that price.

The same can be said for iPhone/iPad covers there are a full $10 more on the Australian zazzle site.

The annoying thing is though that when it comes to royalties and zazzle converting my US commission in to AU$ they know exactly the rate of exchange as I get less than $1 to $1 at the moment!

This has severely dented my enthusiasm for Zazzle and posting anymore products seems like a waste of time.

It is my opinion that Zazzle shold be pushing their products in countries where they are not so well known - not penalising these areas..

Thanks....

This does not make any sense as Oz GST tax is only 10% and you only have to pay it when you order in more than a a few $100 worth of stuff not a $1.10 postcard.

Zazzle really need to explain or reduce their prices over here. Sales would be much higher if they did.

Hi ck109,
I am from Australia and like many others from OZ use the .com to sell from.Sadly either way the postage is a deterent.
It does not mean you will not sell your aussie products. Good Luck

Hi ck109, Understand how you feel, you have some great images here. Just a thought it would be worth looking at IStock ,to sell.Regardless of prices ect here ,this is such a huge demographic site.it just doesn't happen without ones own advertising and zazzle community imput. It maybe be worth your while to check out other sources of income as well .Cheers and Hi from Buderim!! Jilly

I know I would get a lot more Aussies buying if the AU site had better pricing!! Without a doubt.

It's so hard cause I don't even really bother marketing locally anymore cause I'm too embarrassed with the prices!

I stick with US and UK market.

Although I can definitely say my Aussie buyers are growing and growing suprisingly! So if shipping or pricing could be more competitive I can only see that growing more and more.

I would love to know if there's any plans from zazzle about the AU site and it's prices or shipping?

thanks
Pip

I feel exactly the same way. I hate it when people I know ask about my store because I just know that they are going to take one look at the prices and think I'm insanely up myself.

I have lost plenty of Australian sales to family and friends because of the prices, shipping in particular.
