Well it's not that serious; only a difference of a few cents, I'm just curious why this happened.

Yesterday I sold one postcard. That postcard I had set a royalty of 20% on it. It costs $1.10 USD for one so I should have earned $0.22 from that, even my product details say so; but I ended up earning only $0.l8. I did not have this issue when I sold my mousepad; my earning on that was accurate.

I checked my Royalty History to see if I could find out why that may have happened. The sale was not refered. But the Subtotal states $0.9 though it should be $1.10... Shocked

Did the price of postcards just suddenly change overnight or something? Shocked

Was the sale in the U.S.? If it wasn't that could be the reason.

Or it could have been a bulk sale and the customer may have received a discount.

Or they may have had a coupon.

Might be any of these things.

I just checked the details; the customer is from San Mateo, CA, so this was in the US, and the customer only purchased one copy of the product.

maybe it was purchased with a promo code? where there was a sales event. So instead of the full price ...it was 10% off with the promo code then 20% royalty on the sale price?

Bulk orders can mean that a customer bought from more than one store...So while you only sold one postcard, it doesn't mean the customer only bought one postcard/item.

interesting. I have always wondered about that in my postcard sales. now I know the sellers are sometimes shopping like I do i.e. buying from multiple stores on the same site.
