Hi, I have been selling items with my own photographs for some time. However, I started up a small store with using public domain images. I verified that they were public domain and I posted the author's name in the description. Is this an acceptable thing to do? I kind of feel strange of about posting a public domain image from someone else on a produce and selling it. Thanks for any comments.

It's fine. There are a lot of public domain images on Zazzle. You need to note your source and give the info about it, as in "[painting title] by Degas" and then give the date of the painting. You can state that it's in the public domain. When you take images from some sites, you're asked to reference the site where you found the image.
Cheers, Marian

Thanks! I posted several postcards using public images along with the original artist/photographer. This is very helpful.
