Department listings not show on sidebar?

I am trying to figure out why the lists in the department section are not showing up on my sidebar. Can anyone help me?

Go to My Account
Click on the Store tab
Look under Elements To Include In My Store Section
Click to add check mark in front of DEPARTMENT NAVIGATION

Hit the SAVE button

Go to your store front and you should see it then.

Hi there,

I did that, and still not showing up. Is this a glitch or something?

I don't know what's happening on your end,but I tried it 3 times and all 3 times it worked for me.

In the elements section, I have all but products checked off.

I don't see any sidebar navigation. Another thing - when I clicked on a thumbnail it didn't go anywhere. Stayed on the front page. Did you mess with advanced customization at all?

Hi there, nope, didn't touch any advance setting or anything. I started my store the same way my sister did hers and her links are good and mine are not.


I have to say that zazzle is the weirdest and hardest site I have tried to create to date. I never had this much trouble with my own website for my business. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi there, yes, I have made almost 15 products so far. Not sure why the links are not working....zazzle is a MESS...an utter mess to work with.

I haven't seen this happen before. How long ago did you make your products?

I have been creating my products for several hours now. I'm tempted to just start over or go somewhere else.

I'm just frustrated and would like to be able to get this store working properly. Should I just start a new one?

No. #1 thing to learn here is you need to have patience. Some things aren't instant, because they can't be. The products won't be indexed until tomorrow morning. I think you should wait until tomorrow to see if it changes after that. If not, post here again and someone will try to help. If we can't figure it out, you can contact customer service tomorrow. It's too late to get much help tonight.

Thank you all for getting back to me. I will do that and wait to see if things straighten out on their own tomorrow. I have the flu right now, and I am just excited to get this store up and running that i can get easily frustrated when something doesn't make sense. What doesn't make sense is that my sister is creating her store at same time, and her store is coming along just fine...links all working etc..I will see what goes on tomorrow..thanks again.

Ok I see now.

Zazzle indexes products once a day. New products will show up on your site by the morning.

That's why you don't have links for products on the side bar. If you don't have any products under that file folder (button), no link will show up on the side bar.

I've recently changed my store look with making all new Buttons and recently added another Button and it does not show up on the side bar because I have those products in the NEW section of my store for now. I like to keep them there for a few weeks,

As far as you Links,(Thumbnails/Folders) not opening up which they should even if you have nothing in them. I don't know why that's happening.

See what happens by the morning and if it's not right call Zazzle.

Thank you for the info. I will check it again tomorrow and see if its working better. Thank you all for the great advice.
