Hi... I decided to re-org my products based on design. So far, I've created 3 sub categories, naming them after the titles of my design. I then moved them from the main category into the sub-category. I see that they have moved when looking at the products in my account, but they don't appear "live" in my store. How long before the category change takes effect or have I done something wrong?

It takes a while, probably around 24 hours(!)...don't try moving them again in the meantime or the countdown starts all over again!

Steve, Thanks Steve. I actually DID do it again an hour later, thinking I screwed up the first time! But now it's appeared!

Another question... when I mark several products and change their category, are they MOVED to the new category or are they COPIED? I notice that the products I moved now appear in BOTH the main and sub category. Do I need to manually delete them from the original category?

Products will appear in both Parent, and Sub, categories. If you delete from the Parent, you will completely delete the product from your store.

Everything always shows at the top level, because the system uses filters. I.E. when you click on the view all products link everything shows. If you click on a category everything is filtered out except what is in that category. If you have a subcategory everything is filtered out except what is in that subcategory.
