1ST ANNUAL ZAZZLE BIG SUMMER SALE: Okay. Here is how it would go. Any shop owner has the right to opt-in or opt-out of the BIG SUMMER SALE.

Since summers tend to be slow seasons for all businesses, why not a mall-wide sale. And when I say sale, I mean SALE.

Each week, those merchants wishing to participate will choose one product in which, lets say he/she will let a thousand
or 10 thousand or however many we agree upon of the same product go that week.

Every merchant who participates does the same thing with one product.

This will gather a great many wholesale buyers who resale on places like ebay etc.

The trick is, rather than marking up a huge amount, we only
mark them up a dollar or so per product (must be a product like a tee or something that generally has a much higher markup). So, if one sells a thousand of them, there's $1000.

Not to mention all the publicity and SEO enhancement Zazzle would get from it. In fact, I am going to post this in
their suggestion thread too to see if we can drum up some
kind of coordinated effort in which they help promote the idea, we do the selling.

Any ideas or feedback appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds like it has potential, if Zazzle would come to the party and really flog the sale...and the participants items, front page...

Great Idea I'm up for it and personally, even if I didn't sell bunches I wouldn't really loose all that much either

I wonder how much difference this would make. I mean, there are very few products that I have more than a 10% royalty on...

So, Zazzle would get very little advantage out of any sale it did with my products. That is, if I'm understanding the idea correctly!Grin

i see your point. but it could be done with
percentage rather than dollars. for instance
say zazzle decided to have a "clearance" and
all merchants (or a lot of them) participated.
each merchant could list, say 5000 of their
products (that could be the only amount bought);
or (10,000) or whatever amount we decided upon.
we could mark the whole thing up 5% or 10% or
whatever we want (just way lower than our normal
markup); so if 50 merchants participated and
each had 5000 products up, that is 250,000 products
that a deep pocket buyer could get for a song
and a dance, we'd make more than we'd make if we
sold a a few hundred of the same products at full
markup; zazzle would do great profit-wise, not to
mention all the publicity if this is done
periodically. the buyer would not go from store to
store; the products would be put on a special wholesale
limited time only page created by zazzle.

this is just one way it could be done. am sure
there are others and am open to ideas, suggestions, etc.

Hi Zazzle Management: Am in hopes you are reading
this thread(posted another similar one in
promoting store); looks like a lot of contenders
willing to try this out. Who do we contact
to see if there can be something mutually beneficial
in it?

Thanks!
