I think it would be great if Zazzle would come up with some customizable promotional banners - one where we could select products from our shop to be included in it, and it would link to our shops. It couldn't be harder than what they are already doing when they place an image on a shirt or mug or whatever, and it would be nice to have some easy to make banners to advertise our Zazzle shops with.
This would be ESPECIALLY nice with coupons and sales. Like if there was a $3 off Mug sale it would be great to have a banner advertising it that would pull pictures from mugs in our own shops.

Banners are really easy to make. If you create them yourself, you can have an unlimited number of ads that say/promote exactly what you want. We can't expect Zazzle to do everything for us. Advertising outside Zazzle is our responsibility. The standard ad sizes are 468x60 and 125x125. Create at low-resolution for web use. Really easy!

Actually, I do exactly what you say lot, and yes, of course advertising outside of Zazzle is our responsibility. But I'm just saying that it would be another cool promotional tool that I think a lot of people would use. I'm not saying they "should" be doing this, I'm saying they could, and a lot of people would use it.
For example, for a three day sale, I could make a banner for my shop that only I could use, or Zazzle could make one customizable banner that EVERYONE could use. Since they knew about the sale in advance (while we don't usually) the banner would be available immediately and we could spend that time we would have spent making the banner into actually putting the banner out there on the web, and some people who wouldn't otherwise bother to promote that might. So it might help Zazzle to do this. Again, just a suggestion I'm throwing out there. Zazzle does a great job on so many things, I thought I would just throw out one more idea.

I see what you're saying. The best form of advertising on the web is via text in combination with an image. Search engines can index the text, whereas they cannot index images. So posting about the sale on blogs and websites in the form of a short paragraph an incorporating an image for visual effect is more likely to bring in shoppers, than a banner advertisement.
