I've just been creating some phone cases in Quick Create. The iPod Touch Speck case is out of stock at the moment, and when I try to edit the case, the 'Done' button has been replaced by an out of stock message. So while I can create a new speck case, I can't save my edits to the design. It would be very helpful if the Done button was left in place, so we could still create and edit out of stock products as normal in QC.
Thanks

me too! oh wait.
we actually fixed this on our new platform. all of the "new style" tools will work this way (not speck). we're cranking on all the others now.

-e. If I'm reading this wrong I apologize, but are you saying this is how it's going to be for all products? If so then I'm becoming even more discouraged with this "new platform" because a lot of these changes simply aren't making enough sense and usually just end up being more work for us. If something is out of stock then it's going to be in stock eventually, so why not allow us to set it up in the color and style we want and when the customer is shopping they'll simply see that it's not in stock and they can choose something else, like the way it is now?

@InsideOut_Tees,
I think it's precisely the opposite of what you're concerned about; the product referred to by Psychotropia is a Speck case - these are still using the old platform.

Okay, I guess what confused me was that I'd never encountered this before but ran into this issue recently with a tote bag in QC that's still using the old platform and it wouldn't let me update the design because the default style was out of stock. So just to be clear, this is the old way and the new platform won't have this issue?

correct. you'll be all set once the entire tool library is on the new platform.

-e. Oh okay, so I did get that reversed. Sorry about that. Just so many changes going on it’s hard to know which way is up sometimes. I’ll now march in step and repeat the mantra “new platform = good”...for today anyways, lol.
