Hi Zazzle-

I suggested this many months ago - .....but I want to bring it up again.

I think it would be really helpful to have forum board here specifically for newcomers and those looking for help.

We get a lot of the same questions asked again and again - so users are often here looking for thevery same info. It would be great to have a place specifically for them to go and find these FAQs. I know Zazzle has a help section and there are other places on Zazzle they could find their answers, but the fact is that they come here and ask (not that there's anything wrong with that at all).

If they had a board that was clearly marked and had these common topics clearly identified, they could get their answers quickly and not have to wait for someone to reply to their posts.

Thanks

Kerry

Most forums I've been to have an area like the one you've suggested...tips and tricks. I know I could certainly use a place like that. Unfortunately when you first sign up here there is no welcome package with complete instuctions on how to use it....kinda like having kids.

Great idea .. I enjoy helping others .. it gives me a buzz .. but if there was a special section it would be easier to find what you needed ... this is why I started my tutorials section .. then I can redirect Grin

thanks!

I don't mind answering questions that have already been asked a lot - but wouldn't it be great for those coming here for the first time, all anxious, or frustrated or whatever, to have a place to just go and easily find the answer - no having to wait for a reply and keep checking back?

Great idea on the tuts DT!

Yep, it'd sure be nice to herd 'em into one corral so's we can find 'em easy and brand 'em proper. To put a cowhand sorta spin on things...Grin

I so totally agree!! I was very intimidated here when I began and learned from reading about what everyone else seemed to already know and if there had been a welcoming area-- especailly for the computer impared like me..Crying I would have learned some things about Zazzle a lot quicker instead of trial and error...

(by the way...thank you KRW and DT for always being so patient and kind...)

I'm bumping this up. Not only would it be great for the newbies, because like everyone else here I was a Boomin Newbie and without DT and KRW's help along with a few others, I would have fizzled away. Happy

The other reason for having a separate section is that it would cover questions we have when changes are made to the site. For example today I've gone in and taken out a couple of my Featured Products. When I went back to select other products to be featured, I noticed the tab for selection wasn't activated and now I'm at a loss as to how to put them there. I'm sure this has been discussed when the site was last upgraded but that means hours of sifting through all these posts to find it.

I'm off to try the search. Hope I don't get lost in the forum never to post again except in the lost files.

I'm new to everything, site construction, Zazzle, POD, Art.
My hat is off to the Zazzle team.
But like everything there is room for improvement. Blundering my way through the store set-up an idea came to mind: What if Zazzle set up an open source case study of a site construction. It would allow, upon approval, all the members the ability to add a tip or trick that would aid the building of more productive sites for us all.

It would show how Dick and Jane could pre-plan the store. How to determine tags and category selections before loading the first image. The case study would take the newbie by the hand and lead them to sales and cashing checks.

An open source tutorial would take the redundancies out of the forum and leave space for leading edge ideas from its members.

All of you helped me get on line but many unanswered questions lay deep within the database. I thank you all for your help.
