I'd love to see the option to edit the 'Background' color easier for the customer to find. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's buried and impossible to find, but it certainly isn't an obvious feature when choosing 'Customize.' It would be better suited to be a button along side 'Add Images' and 'Add Text'. In any case, I have added a visual 'How-To' at the bottom of my products in the description. I do hope that the customers scroll down enough to see it and don't assume that the background is not customizable. Here's an example of what I have done... LINKCheers!

Yes indeed, in fact I'd like to see it as a personalisation option - no need to go into 'Customise it' at all, same goes for text.
Steve.
EDIT: I forgot to say how good your 'How to' is...it's very good!

@SteveCrompton - That's an even better idea! Glad to see I'm not alone on this one.

That would be great.
Let's make it easier for the customer to change colors. Having it buried like that must confused alot of people. I sometimes spell it out for people, but when designing you don't always remember to do so.

Oh my gosh yes that would make life so much easier for both designer and buyer. It may aid to declutter the marketplace by eliminating the need for many designs with varying background colours.

Alright then - it's unanimous. LOL Zazzle - what do you think? Good suggestion / bad suggestion?

I had a conversation with my daughter-in-law about this a few days ago. I had done a painting for her to use on some gifts for her family who could not make it to their wedding. I uploaded the image and created the product. Then I called her and told her she could try different background colors and let me know which one she liked. Here they are.She said "I never would have found that if you had not talked me through it." She's been a Zazzle shopper for a very long time! I am very much for it!

I've said this before. The background color picker should be on the product page or at least have it as an option. Or perhaps allow a minimalist swatch, maybe 6 or 8 colors, that the designer can choose.
