Today I went shopping at a mall that is approx 30 minutes from where I live, (the closest indoor mall) and walking straight towards me is a woman with a t-shirt on that looked too familiar! The closer she got the more I realized that the design was one of my own original fine art prints, printed on it. I stopped her and we talked and she said she purchased the tee on Zazzle. She invited me to feel the quality of the shirt (which I did) and I was thrilled to see my design "up front and so personal on someone else!"

You never know where or when you will see one of your own pieces or artwork. Today I was blown away...

THANK YOU Zazzle for making that customer happy Smile

Oh, wow, that's great! Lucky you! I haven't seen anyone with one of my designs beyond my relatives . . . and I don't think they count . . . It'd be incredible to pass by a complete stranger on the street wearing one of shirts.

I have to admit the chances of that happening were pretty slim! It must be fate. I have designed thousands of tee shirts, and only sold three in my state. I bet you were thrilled!

Cool story! I doubt that will happen to me though. Most of my sales go to the states and I am in the UK. I know I sold a couple of T's to someone in Venice but I've never been there so the chances of me seeing someone wearing one there are very slim. A certain person who has purchased many of my creations has e-mailed me photographs of the items and I was very grateful for the pictures...they made me smile. My only hope is that at some point in time i'll bump into someone wearing a 'Dark Derek' shirt or a 'Wilf' or 'Snowman' when I am out in Thailand...now that really would blow my mind!

Nue n'est prophet dans sans pays. I think that's right, but it's been a few years since my French teacher wrote that on the blackboard in the 9th grade. It means "No one is a prophet in his own country." In other words, people around where you live don't appreciate you. That is what is so great about a company like Zazzle. Your products (and more importantly your ideas)are exposed around the world. Although I have only sold three of my designs in my home state, I have sold them in eight or nine countries the last time I checked! LOL I can truthfully claim to be an international businessman!

That would have been a great moment, when you first realized that the shirt design was *yours*!
And a customer walking around wearing your design is excellent advertising!! Happy
Thanks for sharing that with us Donamaria and congratulations!

First ~ -E and Josh, Thanks for the acknowledgment and I'm thrilled that my paltry testimonial ran through Zaz's intranet! From the comments, these types of occurrences appear to be rare and certainly, blessed! Love I'm So happy to have experienced AND shared it here!

Thanks to all those who posted a response to my post... I wish the same for each and every one of you. Truly, if it can happen to/for me, it can happen for anyone!

Best,
Donna
