I think on a product's page there should be an option to view the art at a large size without it being rendered on apparel. Small pieces sometimes don't look good even in the magnified view. The art preview should, of course, be watermarked. Doc Smith

You can already do this.
You just press the design tab and then press the magnifying glass or hover the image. Both are found above the product image... 'design' is to the left with 'product', and the magnifying glass is to the right.
