How many 'product type' do you sell on your shop? My shop is still pretty new and I am still building it. I am sometimes tempted to put my design in everything so now I have 400 products with repetitive designs.

I don't put my designs on everything (nowhere near!), and when I use QC it's mainly for small batches of things, such as phone cases. I try to avoid that 'wall' of the same design effect as it put me off on my first few visits to Zazzle.

I am the same as Steve, when I make a design, I usually have in mind the products I will put it on, some designs only see the light of day on a couple of products, others get more of an outing. It is down to what you feel is right, for example, I would not put a design made for a childs T-Shirt on a dog bowl. Have fun and welcome to Zazzle! Flutterbi

I am the same way. Not everything will work on every product in size and theme. Magnets you can add just about anything to it that will work in theme wise but size wise small.
Teapots: Think about what a kitchen theme has. Cherries, Blueberries,Strawberries,Apples,Chefs,Wine,Country,Roosters,Coffee, etc. (ok, you could still use these for many other products) Also patterns will work for kitchen products. Just like S.Martin said, I would not put a design made for a childs T-Shirt on a dog bowl or a teapot.
I do have lots of products types in my store. But I do not design n everything. I feel that some products are priced high at base price while others I don't want to add like paper products: envelopes, stationary, invitations along with others.
Zazzle adds new products from time to time. I pick what am I going to add to my store. While others love the new pet tags, I do not.

I have a distinctly different approach. I slap my paintings/photographs/designs onto anything they properly fit. I create a few versions so that they will fit onto different products. I like to give my customers as many choices as I can. I sometimes create several variations of a product design by changing the background or adding some text. That said, I do focus more on particular products. For instance, I've started spending more time on invitations. And I'm planning to focus on business cards soon. It all depends on your images and your inclinations. Cheers, Marian

I'm with Marian. I'll put my designs on whatever it will fit on. You never know what the customer is looking for.
I'm not really that concerned with a "wall of products" because Zazzle has changed it so that you generally only see one product out of a specific design anyway. Visitors to my store will see all the products, of course, but since I have arranged my store by popular products, they're going to see several different designs.
If I limited what I put my designs on, I would miss out on sales, because I've had sales on things that I wouldn't think to put products on, like the Hoover Dam on an ornament.
