Yesterday I created products with quick create and none of the titles included the product type. All the products just have the name 'Bunny' with no indication what the product is such as mousepad or plate. Is this a new bug?

They always had the product type appended to the design name that I entered. I guess now I will have to enter all the names individually. No thoughts anyone?

It's been like that for almost a month. Some stuff seems to eventually get its product types appended to the end. Maybe everything will "eventually."
It was never unusual for it to take a little while for those to get added---or to occasionally have to name-and-rename a single product to get it to show up, but this is more extreme than that.
I suppose it could be related to 270'ish new skins (with 270'ish new product names) entering the system, and things will eventually get caught up.

Thanks for responding! Maybe it was because these products got added quicker than I have ever seen it happen for some reason. I think I would rather wait for the names before they add them for the public.

Recently, I've noticed that it takes a few days before the product names are appended to our titles. But I'm looking at my store now, and products I made a couple weeks ago are still missing the product names. Hmm. I don't know what that's about.
It isn't related to Quick Create, though, as I didn't use that.

I sent Zazzle and inquiry about this issue and this is the reply I received.
"Hello Lynne,
Thanks for contacting the support team at Zazzle.com.
Going forward you would need to add the type of the product at the end if you wish for it to show up in the title. Thank you and have a nice day."
I hope this is a mistake - that would be a lot of work. I wonder if this is true????

I can't imagine that's true.
The product names are appearing for me on new products, except for the occasional miss here and there. My older products I referenced earlier still don't have the product name.
I'll have to mess around with them later to try and get it to show up. I think someone on this forum mentioned that just editing and saving fixes it.

Same problem here.
When I inquired, my innocent post was deleted. Not sure what that means.
At one time you could edit and simply add ":" to the title and save then the product name would be applied. Not now.
This is not so much an issue if all you are concerned about is the Marketplace. But with outside promotional efforts such as an RSS feed, it makes the post look dorky.
Sure would like an answer.
For now, I am adding product names "manually". With nearly 1,000 to do it is low on my list.

I hope someone from Zazzle will post here to clarify this. I can see why it might be better for people to add the titles themselves when making products individually, but don't understand why they'd make such a change with Quick Create. It seems like a step backwards to make the product creation process so much more time consuming, with no obvious reason or benefit. And my external RSS feeds are already looking a bit stupid It would be nice if there was more communication from Zazzle concerning major changes like this (if indeed it *is* actually a permanent thing).

Things I added to my shop on the 12th have had their product types added. Things I added day before yesterday have not. Some things I added on the 7th have had their product types added, while some things from the 6th have not..but some from the 6th HAVE had them added. And so on.... It just seems kind of random and wonky at this point. And this: Quote:This is not so much an issue if all you are concerned about is the Marketplace. But with outside promotional efforts such as an RSS feed, it makes the post look dorky is the problem. Sending out a tweet via RSS shows the design name but with no indication of what the actual product is, there's very little incentive for anyone to click on it. I've stopped tweeting other peoples' "New" products for the time being for this reason. There's no point.

Well, I've been busy for the last few weeks making templates for the new skins, and then using them in Quick Create. They all post without the product name, BUT a couple of days or so later, the product is nicely added to the end of the title.
That quote from Zazzle is scary...if they really do mean to stop doing it and expect us to. Gosh, I can't tell what the skins are without zooming in, which would really slow things down so far as adding them after using QC.

My new products except for a couple of them have finally had their product types magically appended.
I think that the Zazzle dude that answered my question was mistaken. At least I hope so!

They don't add the product types immediately. never have. It always takes a few days to a week.

Most of mine have had theirs added. I still have stuff from mid-March and the first week of April that don't have them.
However, the stuff I added last night, that published while I slept, do have theirs, so hopefully all I'll need to fix is a few hundred products from mid-March through early April.

I need to fix mine too, but I bet as soon as I add my own product names, the automatic ones are going to appear as well.

UPDATE: I emailed proseller support to confirm that we do not need to add product titles. You don't need to. Quote: "You are correct. There is no need to add product info to your titles. This will be added for you automatically.
If this every stops happening please let us know so that we can inform our engineers." Just remember that they are not amended immediately, and never have been. It takes a few days.
