I'm new and am wondering what products or designs sell the best.

Thanks for any advice.

By the way I mostly do architectural drawings and sketches.

I know tees are big sellers but I think it all depends on what the customer is looking for.

This question is asked a lot, and I've never seen a really comprehensive answer. I personally sell more t-shirts than anything else, but then, that's mainly what I have in my store! I've put together a survey to try and get a better handle on this answer in a thread right next door...Grin

Having only been here less than two months, I haven't had the opportunity to see what sells best here. However, having had multiple PODs, I can say that shirts have outsold anything else, by a longshot. In 2nd place would be stickers. Ofcourse, that doesn't mean much cos I don't have architectural drawings in my shops. In fact 99% of what I've ever sold has had text, some with accompanying art and some without.

I have sold t-shirts but mainly I have sold postage, buttons, stickers, and postcards. I do not think it can be pinpointed down to a specific product but it depends on the customer. Kristy

Sad Have not sold ANYTHING. But only been here a couple of days so I am not really complaining. Also not expecting much - how the heck would people find me in this maze of wonderful artists! ! !

I've been here since August of 2007 and I have't sold a lot. Enough to get one check so far and I don't do much promotion.

But I have noticed this ... Other than T's, I haven't sold any of the higher priced items. No mugs, aprons, ties, mouspads, prints. And the T's I sold I had to remove because of the change in printing process in October. They simply can't print them anymore. Partial Transparency issues. I haven't sold a T here since the fall.

But the little stuff I sell ... stickers sell a lot ... stuff under 5 bucks

it's too design specific to say what sells best.

A person with a certain type of shop may sell a lot of mousepads, but another shop owner may not sell any. And other shops may sell a fairly leven mix of different products.

Just put your designs on those items they work best on and try not to worry about what types sell best.

As for designs - it's the same. There's no rhyme or reason. I've seen things I think are spectacular and I know from the shop owner that it doesn't sell and I've seen items go through the just sold that I (sorry - not meaning to offend) just can't imagine someone buying. People's tastes are too varied.

Whatever it is that you create, there is someone somewhere who will appreciate it and want to buy it.

Just be patient. Keep designing and promoting.

Most of my sales are on T-shirts and cards. I do make other things but they don't seem so popular.
I really enjoy coming up with different ideas.
I'm really enjoying myself here.

This is so hard to answer. It really all depends on what you make and which customers you will attract. I can never guess what will sell best. For instance, someone just bought a ton of one of my keychains the other day...like 70 of them! T-shirts are definitely big here, but I don't make many or sell many because I just can't make what the young people like...cause I'm not young!! Stick out tongue

Make what you like and what you are good at and others with your taste are bound to come along.

I specialize in humerous t-shirts, but because those weren't selling, I decided to go off and do gifts and other products. So far, I've sold hats, a few shirts, a keychain, and a wedding gift.

Once you start making stuff and you see what sells, then you can kind of work around that. Don't be afraid to put the same images on different products either.

I been here a few months, and so far I have only sold 2 things. Crying but I have had a ton of TBA's Grin and that has not helped my sales...so I'm not sure. I have sold a T-Shirt and a Mousepad. But I really like it here and everyone is super nice, so I will keep doing more and more and someday I might be able to get a big fat check...LOL

Just try everything, that's what I am doing...?
Good luck to everyone!

First of all WELCOME droxxxRoses
I have been here since 2-3 mnths so far managed to sell 3cards
I guess postcard n cards sell here a lot but then it all depends on designs but to survive here in Zazzle , your product has to be completely unique , there are many unique galleries here but some r just same like others using same mode of designs , so I guess it has to be variety n change!
good luck!
hang in there

My first sale was a bunch of stamps! Beautiful Rose on them. Made a little bit of cash...$69.00! But that has been it for the time being.

When my website is done I'll expect more traffic driven in here.

I also am considering buying some of my own and doing some art fairs locally!

Hope that helps...

I think what sells the best depends on what you have.

My images would not make that good on shirts. I designed one or two, some mugs, a calendar and cards. But I think the most sold will still be prints. And perhaps the calendar.
It does not make much sense to simply put every image on a mug or to make every image a shirt or something.
