great to know! Thanks Jessie and DT. My new laptop has a small tablet - but no pen. Go figure. I haven't gotten my software onto it anyway since both my husband and son commandeered it for games. Maybe once schools tarts. I've never tried a tablet

I love the program called Harmwave. It is free, and has been around for a while. He has some cool way to make tiles. I think the guy who made it was named Harman. Now the only way to get it is wherever it is posted out on the internet. This is one place I found it: http://stuff.goatdairying.com/programs/harmwave.htmlYou can also find it under the name Harm's Tile 99 (as in the year 1999) Here is another link for that http://www.geocities.com/ymjcath/img/htmlfram/Harms.htm
Hey ! I looked around and I found Harman. Here is his website: http://www.harmware.netI highly recommend this Free Software. Its one of my favorites. Donna

just spent the morning off on a tangent looking for fractal programs .. so here's what I found that could be useful (smile) ... no way to test them since I use Linux and they're windows programs (multiple versions and dos) these are free: ChaoscopeChaosProFractal ExplorerFractal StudioFractSurfMandebrot Explorer-- written by james ***spam*** ... he's a zazzler too! (grin) MandelViewQuintessential Sophistry-- numerous dos and win95+ fractal programs these cost: fractal extremeultra fractalMystic Fractal Programs-- has 24 different programs oh I know there's more out there, some I've actually used before ... just haven't gotten to them yet (grin) .. and then there are the java applet fractal generator programs ... one in particular I think may be useful to me Fractal Appletthe problem converting from the applet to a usable image is ofcourse resolution .. pixelization can be a big headache as we all know (grin) ... but I've been playing around with an image I did get from that applet and I've had some good results ... nothing I want to write home about yet but there's hope (grin) enjoy ... have an idea .. maybe we can keep a list of links with programs we use free and otherwise and post them occasionally (updated) for us and especially for the new ones here? ... (hehe) or not (grin) .. just a thought (smile)

Heres a useful site .. gives links to some great programmes and a lot have either free trials or are free anyway .. tells you all about the programmes and what you can and can't do with them .. the scoring system is very useful under each item .. I have found some really good advice on this site including some really cool tutorials ... so hope it helps you all ( Designer Info )

Cool! Let me know if I can be of any help. It's a bit overwhelming at first - but stick with it. Be sure to sign up for the newsletters. They often have free a free item.
