You can now visit Blender Guru They have solved the problem, looks like it was an add on the site that caused the problem.

Great thread! I have some exploring to do with these tools.
Can anyone recommend a simple, easy to use tool for cropping images into circular & other shapes?
Also, can you recommend a tool for making curved text, or text that follows other shapes, that can be overlaid on an image?

I only use picnik.com to resize my images. Is it true, before using its stickers & fonts, you need to take permission from an author?

This is great for seeing whats taking up disk space on windows. WindDirStat I just found a 50gb photoshop temp file, so its worth checking now and again.

Hello there,
The following are two sites that considering they are free, are immensely powerful and easy to use. One is Irfanview.com (prog name / site name is synonymous - sounds Welsh but is Eastern European). The other is Photofiltre.com, again, same site name as prog etc.
Irfanview is the marginally more difficult to use but a little read here and there usually does the trick. Although other free progs can do this, I find the creation of a totally accurately sized image file is easier on Irfanview than anywhere. The site even does PDFs but, perhaps due to rights reasons, the site attaches DRM without asking.
But Photofiltre, I call this the hidden gem. It is like a lighter faster version of PSP, not quite as many filters but plenty for most, and it has the marvellously simple method of merging images; you load one, then another, right click on the second, select copy, left click on the first, click paste, and even then you get grab handles to then fix it into position, stretch etc, save, done. It may sound trivial, but other progs you pay for don't make merging quite that simple.
One thing though, not sure which bright spark started this off, but most progs I use, once it detects a b and w or greyscale only image, it shuts down all colour options. But if you need to combine one type with another or add colour to a b and w / greyscale piccy, then just open up a colour image in Photofiltre and merge the b and w image onto it, leaving the slightest bit of colour on one of the borders to make sure the prog continues to recognise it as colour.
If you have to choose one of the above (Richard Pryor musn't have liked either as he went for 'none of the above' sorry, couldn't resist) choose Photofiltre, it really is a fantastic giveaway, but not one which too many folks seem to know about.
Cheers
John

John thanks for the link - I like the program it is much more responsive than Fireworks which I paid a small fortune for.
There is another program that I picked up from that site which appears quite interesting, it is FotoSketcher 2.25 - it turns photos into a sketch drawing - again it´s free.
I'm not sure if it has been suggested here before, but I found StripeGenerator.com very handy for making tiles.
There is also a tartanmaker.com - both of these are great fun. You make the tiles online so no software needs downloading.

Some questions: I have photos (my own photos) which I have edited or filtered with Photoshop Elements 9 or with Corel Paintshop ProX 2. May I use these photos for Zazzle or may I only use photos which I haven`t edited with these Softwares? (Commercial use?) I haven`t read anything about this direct from Zazzle when I have started with Zazzle.
I also have used tools (cutter and colors) of Photoshop Elements 9 to create graphics. May I use these graphics for Zazzle? (Commercial use?)
Thank you very much for your answers!

@stdjura,
If they're your own original images then they are fine to be used on Zazzle, whatever you may have done in processing them.
