When I use my kitchen towels I fold them over a bar. So I would want the full image to be on the bottom half of the towel right?
Like this one?

Otherwise it would look like this right?

Yep - guess so! I hadn't thought about this when doing mine as they usually get scrunched up anyway! But you make a good point. I designed mine so that it's either a single image as here:

or a morass of words which can be read upside down or back to front (almost!) as in this one.

Good to see that they seem to be back in stock Smile
I take your point though and think I'll try adjusting for neater cooks!

Here is another thing to consider...

When I fold my towels, I fold them in half along the LONG side first then fold them in half again to hang over my oven door handle.

So, for me, if i folded Amber's rooster towel the way I usually do, I would only see the front or back half of the chicken. Also, if I folded Mousefx's towel with the flowers on it, I would only see half of the circle with the flowers in it.

Hope that gives you a bit of perspective when designing towels. The type of towels I have in my home right now are an omnidirectional pattern like the towel designed by organs with the words on it.

It might be a good idea to design some towels that are directional and some that are not.

Cheers!

So far, all of my towel designs are of the kind that you fold over the bar. That's how my towel template is set up as well. I've just started making patterns though... those would look fine no matter how they are folded.

Some designs I think would be hard to design in the fold into quarters kind of design.

Where do you find the towel template? I can't find it on the list, must be a senior moment on my part. Smile
