Hey All,

This question has probly been pounded to death, but i can't seem to
find an answer...

This design

http://www.zazzle.com/sn95_white_splash-235094203527663738

No matter how i save it, any other colour but white bleeds through.
I have tried adding another layer and filling it with black and white. I have tried the show trans button with all the file types.
I am stumped. I have a client that wants this design on orange, but i can't get it to stop bleeding through.

any help??? Sad

Don

Cool graphic. I see that it's a .png file...have you tried flattening the layers and resaving it in a format that doesn't support transparencies like .jpg or .gif to see if that resolves it?

Okay, first of all save your file with the separate layers for safe keeping in case you need to back up to start.

Then Save as... and rename the file slightly to use for what we are going to do

Now, make a new layer and send it to back (either in the layer menu under arrange layers or on the layer window drag it to the bottom,

Now select the everything on the top image you DO NOT WANT TO SHOW ON THE SHIRT AS WHITE OR BLACK, so use the magic wand tool and select the outstide area of the image, now select the new layer you made, right click on the selected area (the area you picked up with magic wand) and choose select inverse, then fill with white.

This should fill in the area with white under the black work and leave the outside transparent.

Now merge visible layers by selecting all and doing ctrl+e

Now save it as a png

After you upload in and are working with it on the customize menu, click the gear and TURN OFF show whites as transparent.

---also note---
O went and tried it with the show whites as transparent turned off with what you had uploaded just before I wrote this and it did not come up white, so either you lost your white layer because you had it hidden in the file when you saved or you have found a bug.

so I would make one other suggestion

Use an off white, either a super pale blue or super pale yellow and see if it works with that.

Visually it would read as white to the human eye but may be a good work around for the interface as the interface is looking for #ffffff to knock out, not the hex for a pale yellow or pale blue

It's not a bug. There is no white ink used in printing on the white and lighter coloured shirts, so you will always see the colour of the shirt showing through.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the replies, I have tried everything everyone has suggested, I have tried adding a black layer as suggested it does not work. Colour bleeds through the whole design, not just the white...

I have also upload this deign to a diff site, And i have no issues what so ever with it showing up right...

High Prices, Insane shipping. and now bugs in their system...this is why i am slowly leaving zazzle...

Thanks everyone

Don

It's not a bug.

As already posted there is no white ink.

It's like printing a design on your home computer on colored paper. The ink is not opaque. That's why they have to put down a white rubbery underlayer on the dark shirts. If they didn't you wouldn't see the design at all., The color of the shirt will always change the color of the design. Not a bug. Normal.

Try screen printing instead. If that's what your customer wants, you can just order enough for it to work. Zazzle does screen printing (min=12?) or you could have them made locally.
