Anything funky about creating postage?

I've been merrily creating products on my gallery, trying to catch up with some of the suggestions I got for products to offer. Posters, fine. Cards, fine. Mouse pads and mugs, fine. Post cards, fine. Postage... er... ?!

I created thirteen postage designs last night, and not a single one showed up in my shop gallery. I figured there was some database lag or something, so I called it a night and went to bed.

This morning one of them showed up in the gallery. Not the first one of the set, nor the last, but one from the middle of the work I did last night. So I kinda get the feeling they're in there, but they're leaking out one at a time.

Is there something funky about postage I'm missing that makes them behave this way? I'm a little leery of adding more products if it means I'll have to go back and re-do the work later. Those thirteen postage stamps were well over an hour of work, just to click through all the stuff when creating them. I don't want to go through the same thing with fridge magnets.

Also, how long should I wait before deciding something dire happened, and the designs are lost? I'd hate to go back through and reproduce all of those designs, only to have the lost stamps show up, and have double entries in my gallery.

Haaaalp!

Thanks,

Tom

As far as I know, the US Post Office has strict guidelines for custom postage, so all stamps have to go through an approval process before they are allowed on the site.

Not sure how long this takes, but since one of your stamps is up already, I would imagine it's not too long.

There are three now. So yeah, that makes perfect sense. I'll be patient and start cranking out postcards now. Grin

Thanks again!

Yeah, I posted two more postage designs, and actually read the page that pops up after a postage design. Zazzle really does make it absolutely clear what is going on, and why there's a delay.

>sigh< What kills me is I spent twelve years as a sysadmin, and 99% of the time the answer to the problem really was "Did you RTFM?" Chalk one up for Zazzle.

All my postage designs came through, plus the other two I did the next day. Zazzle rocks.

Don't worry Tom - you're in good company. I'd say once a month someone asks this question Smile
