Are you referring to the area where you have your store decription and/or featured product thumbnails and links?
If so, Id be inclined to either add a background and image color to the css for the class named description, or alternatively to create another style class or id with background image and colour and then apply the new style to the table within the div where your featured products are.
It really depends on where exactly you are trying to apply the background color and or image as to how i would go about it.
Just curious, where you have the images and links to each section in the table for featured products (eg sushi, squirel etc), have you inserted the rel="no follow" attribute to each text link or is that done automatically by zazzle?
The other thing I'd possibly be inclined to do too, is to create a style specifically for images in that table for the image width/height/border attributes, it would keep the overall code tidier if you are able to do this.
I'd also be adding the alt attribute to each image if zazzle permits this as it would help with SEO
hope some of that makes sense
