I came upon an older post in this forum with some code to add to css to remove the side bar and center the product display.

Spent considerable time working with the various coding presented (There were several codings offered) and never came close.

I was hoping someone could post the working code and be a little more specific as to where it goes.

I believe I chose the correct css window and placed code in several areas but this trial and error approach got me no where.

Thank you for any help.

@pjwuebker,

If you could post a link to your store i can take a look at it and try to help with the coding to achieve the effect you want.

@pjwuebker,

Go to the following section of your store:

Store > Appearance > Beta! Advanced > Style (CSS)

Paste the following code in that box (anywhere below the first line of code and above the last line of code):

.sidePod{display:none!important;}
.contentPane{overflow:visible!important;width:100%!important;}
#group_2 .productsGrid{width:950px!important;}

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. Looks perfect. Appears I was putting the code in the wrong css window.

Hi,

If you have time, it would be much appreciated if you could look also at http://www.zazzle.com/emanatepresence for the same reasons, to eliminate the sidebar and improve spacing.

I followed your good instructions and entered the code in the CSS style box, and it did eliminate the sidebar, but also the header image. And it left a lot of white space.

I copied the original CSS code into notepad so can restore it if needed.

Thanks.

@Gary R. Smith,

Hi. That code was specific to that store although some parts do apply to every store on Zazzle.
The code i posted does not affect the header image, I took a look at your coding and noticed that the header image is the following:

background:url("http://rlv.zcache.com/isapi/designall.dll?action=gal_banner&fmt=jpg&bg=FFFFFF&gry_color=FAFAFA") top left no-repeat;

This is making your header a solid color (click on the image link above).

If you could revert the store back to how it was i would be more than happy to take a look at it for you and try to help.

Hi,

I pasted the original code into the Style Box, but it did not return the header photo. I recognized there was some risk in using the code you gave which was specific to another site. My responsibility, no problem.

I would be happy to have no header or blank space at the top.

Also, yesterday the black and white magnets were scattered throughout the store. We wanted them all together. Today they seem more in a group like we want. The order of products on our store home page seems random. Can it be specified?

The objective is to clean up the appearance of the store.

The main categories will be:

Art - Framed Prints, Plaques, Posters, Wrapped Canvas
Bags - Messenger
Calendars
Cards - Note, Greeting, Postcards, Postage
Ceramic Tiles
Clothing - Sweatshirts, T-Shirts
Gift Boxes, Jewelry Boxes
Keychains
Magnets
Mugs - Bone China, Espresso, Jumbo
Necklaces - Amulets and Lockets
Plates
Stickers - Round, Bumper, Labels
Teapots

Is there are way to change the categories in the sidebar?

Just if you have time as I know it takes some to respond.

Thank you.

Gary
