I've designed several of my own web sites like my own Cartoon / Humorous Illustration catalog site etc. so am familiar with HTML <title></title> tile, keywording and meta tagging etc. Can we open up our store when we are in our accounts? For example, from NORMAL to HTML view, as though you were in a typical web editor like FrontPage? Curious

You can manage your store anytime you want whether it is public or private.

OK Gee, so when I am in my store, where do I click to add new words in my <title></title> tag for instance?

Zazzle works a little differently compared to writing an HTML page yourself. The majority of stuff is found in the Adv. Customization tab of your store appearance settings but your <title></title> tag and META tags aren't. This is because anything which is found in the <head></head> of an HTML page is hidden from us for security reasons... You can still edit the <title> and <meta> tags though... Go to myZazzle -> Store -> Basic Information... The <title></title> tag is controlled by Store Title. *Anything you enter here will appear between the title tag.The <Meta name="description" /> tag is actually the Description. *Anything you enter here will go in the content of the META tag.finally... the <META name="keywords"> tag is controlled by the Tags box. *Any tags you use to describe your store will go in the content of the META tag.Hope this helps

OK LisaMarie....you clarified ALOT and gretly appreciated. I can see from what you described here that everything I assumed (including <title></title> tag) is true then. So In essence, if we want to actually optimize a store page to it's utmost, that focusing even on title tagging is IMPORTANT. Basically I also learned the 80 charaters would be ideal between the <title> eighty characters of descriptive key words here</title> So was wondering. One page that clarifies alot is this one if you're are interested. I think the rest in what LM says is easy to interpret and do. I initially asked all this due to the fact that I see ALOT of Zazzle sites that don't even have the typical store layout and wondered how that was done or is achieved. Maybe I am misreading or missing something initially. But good input all around.

The non-traditional layouts can be done through CSS customisation. I know nothing about it, but I'm sure there's heaps of information in the forum, if you're inclined to try some coding.

finally... the <META name="keywords"> tag is controlled by the Tags box. *Any tags you use to describe your store will go in the content of the META tag. yes... and this is for ALL of your pages. Go to google and type: site:www.zazzle.com/tracytrends Or, do it for your site. Then look at the title of each page and the description below... yuck! Google will not like that and I haven't had a chance yet to ask... Can we fix that? Anyone? Can we control the title or at least the description of each page? It's not just us as individual sellers, it hurts zazzle as a whole. I was hoping my category descriptions would be picked up as meta tags... NOT~ Tracy

tjustleft, you can get rid of the title. Right after <head> add in <title>whatever you want</title>. This will overwrite the title on all pages except the individual product pages.
