Hi M,

I would love to know how to add content under the toppicks widget (be able to use up the whole space above my store categories). I saw this in a store once, but have not been able to figure out how to do this.

Do you have any idea how this can be achieved?
thank you!

@Funcards,

I am not quite sure what you mean, could you please explain further? Looking at your store i see that you have hardly any space under the top picks widget. Do you have a link to the store that has it set up the way you want?

Great looking store by the way.

Oh my, I have to say, my first impression when I first went to your store, was completely overwhelming. You have some great photography, but I almost didn't scroll down to look at it, because you have made your store look like a spamming site.

Try to be concise in your description. There is a place in your account for tagging, so make sure you make good use of it. If you want to use SEO on your site, use it productively. Perhaps you could make a horizontal menu for instance (tutorials in the forum) and the links would provide some search engine exposure as would bolding, italicizing, and linking pertinent information in your description. Make your work speak for itself. If your customers can quickly see your photos right off the bat, they will want to spend more time on your site. Remember, the more time people spend on your site, the higher your google rankings will be. If they quickly go on your site, and click off right away, due to too much information, then you will lose google ranking.

I hope this is helpful.

@M

I've been searching the forums for an answer and can't find one so I'm turning to you. Smile

On my store's home page, if you scroll down you will see that the main shell background (#FFFEED) stops before hitting the zazzle footer so there are several featured products and all of the store's comments hanging out on the striped background image without the solid color behind them. This problem cropped up on its own some time in the last few months and I have no idea why. It looked fine when I first set up the store a couple of years ago. I've played with the #mainShell CSS a bit with no luck.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this issue?

@rosehavencottage,

Hi, this is an easy one. Find the following code in your Style (CSS) box:

body.iframed, #main, #pageTitle, #pageSubTitle, #pageHeader, #pageBottom {
background-image:url(http://i1029.photobucket.com/albums/y353/rosehaven_cottage/CenterBackgroundBlueScallop.png);
padding-top:40px;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

Replace the last line of code (highlighted above) with the following:

background-repeat:repeat;

I hope that helps.

Hi M,

I posted earlier in the forum a topic about a problem I have - I noticed that my drop down menu doesn't work proper on my "About this store" page. The menu is there, but in a previous version of it. The right one is the one on my store's page. I've done some things there and there with customization, but I'm not an expert in coding. It must be a place in the code to update the menu code for the 'about' page or something, but I'm really confused right now, I really don't know how to fix it.

I had a great suggestion to add my own custom about page and not rely on Zazzle's default about page, but before I get to do that, I thought to ask you. For sure I'm doing something wrong now, cause it used to work fine. That's 'in short' my menu code in the XHTML (and some customization in the CSS).

<div id="pageHeader"></div>
<div id="centeredmenu">
<ul>
<li class="active">
<a href="/rouble_rust*" class="active" rel="nofollow">MENU 1</a>
<ul>
<li>
<a href="link" rel="nofollow">sub menu</a>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div id="main" class="clearfix">
<div id="group_1"></div>
<div id="group_2" class="contentPane">
<zStick out tonguelaceholder name="contentpane"></zStick out tonguelaceholder>
</div>

I've edited the main page background for my store. Now I'm trying to find where to edit the individual product page backgrounds. Can I get some help? Smile

I just noticed this recently and couldn't find an answer by searching.

I've noticed that there are now numbers after my categories in the sidebar. These numbers show how many items are in each category, but it's messing with my sidebar. Is there a way to remove the numbers? Thanks in advance.

Zazzle is changing our stores around. I wouldn't recommend spending too much time making changes until the dust settles - hopefully by September.

hi,

I have 2 questions:

1) is it possible to use meta tags like "description" or "keywords" in the <head> region ?
I tried to implement several of them, but there was always a warning...

2) it seems, that alphabetizing the store categories does not work, when pressing the "ALPHABETIZE" button... what can i do?

thanks ahead for your help

best regards

Peter

Hi all,

Apologies for not getting back to anyone, i have been away for quite some time working on a personal project and now i am happy to be back on Zazzle.

Some of you may remember a while back i started a topic on creating pre-made custom Zazzle store templates here on the forum but it seems as though it has been removed probably due to inactivity.
I spent several months working on the templates and reached around 90% completion of the package but due to the amount of changes Zazzle has made to stores recently i will put it all on hold or even cancel it until i see the layout of the stores settle which might take a while.
Instead, i will now provide a one to one service to help users with their stores for a reasonable fee (whatever your budget may be).

Regards,
M

Well... I'm happy you're back, LOL! Hopefully a quick question.

I would like to have my category images on category sections be 3 to a page instead of the 4. I have been unable to find a way to change that in the store. Is there a way?

I would like to make collection pages images larger. I've done this through the store descripton/category description section before, but I add too many things too frequently and it was too hard to keep up with.

Is there a simple elegant solution for this?

Here's the store area I'm working on:

Hello,
I've used Zazzle Store Builder to generate product links to my website raggedshirts.com. Lately any PG-13 products would not show up but only show a message error: products temporarily unavailable. The G-rated products were showing up fine. I have not changed the coding in my website and it was working fine for awhile. Have you come across this issue before and is there a way to have the PG-13 products show up?

Thanks for any help.

How do I add my header image to the shopping cart page for my store as well as set the "other products you might be interested in" to be sent to my products an not general marketplace items?

Thanks for the help! Smile

OK so I have had no answers to my other post, I'm turning to you for help.

If I could find an example I would post it, so I'll try to explain it.

I want to make the product part of my store...slide over the background.
Normally the whole store gets longer and longer as you add more, but I want only the product area to move.
I don't know what its called. I just know it makes it look like the products are floating over the main shell background.

All I need is to know how to change the code to make it floaty and where the code is in my advanced / CSS.

This is the store I am working on

Can you help me?
